How the experience works

How the Activity Works

1. Briefing and practice

Allow 10–15 minutes to learn the safety rules, get comfortable with the controls, take off, land and complete a first flight.

2. Team roles

Participants are divided into three teams. Each team assigns a pilot, co-pilot, navigator, technician and timekeeper, with roles rotating so everyone can take part.

3. Missions

Obstacle course, precision landing, relay, drone quiz and final challenge: every mission puts the team to the test.

4. Final results and awards

The final ranking recognizes the winning team, best pilot and strongest teamwork.

Trophies and rewards can be customized with the organizer.

Common questions

Plan with confidence

Does anyone need drone experience?

No. The briefing and guided practice are designed for complete beginners using standard controllers without FPV goggles.

How many people can participate, and how long is it?

The format is designed for 8–15 participants and normally runs for 1.5–2 hours.

What space and setup time are needed?

A clear area of at least 3 × 6 m and access approximately one hour before the activity. Final suitability is confirmed after the venue review.

Can the activity run outdoors or in strong wind?

Yes, when conditions are safe. In strong wind we move indoors if a suitable option exists; otherwise a Drone Party Montreal cancellation is treated as force majeure and the deposit is refunded.

How are safety and insurance handled?

Two instructors supervise the activity. We use DJI Neo drones with integrated propeller guards, inspect the venue and equipment, brief every participant and carry $2 million in liability insurance.

What is included in the starting price?

The 1.5-hour program, three drones, standard controllers, course elements, scoring, two instructors, setup, pack-down and travel inside Montreal, Laval and Longueuil. Approved extras are quoted separately.

Can the session be bilingual, and how is travel calculated?

Yes. We host in English, French or both. Travel is included in Montreal, Laval and Longueuil; outside these cities it is $0.50/km.

How do booking and rescheduling work?

After the date and venue are approved, a $100 deposit is required for final confirmation. Rescheduling is subject to availability; after three reschedules, a new booking and deposit are required.
